Our Cruises

The Angelito Galapagos Experience

ITINERARIES

The Yacht Angelito has an exceptionally interesting, varied, and harmonic 2-weeks-route: one of the weeks, from Sunday to Sunday, tours with ITINERARY A, and the following week, also from Sunday to Sunday, with ITINERARY B.

The ITINERARY A is possible for 8, 5, and 4 days cruises, and the ITINERARY B for 8 days, but with the possibility to make it shorter on Friday, so 6 days. Additionally, combinations of 11, 12, and 15 days are possible without any repetition of visiting points.

ITINERARY A

The ITINERARY A can be offered as 8 days/7 nights cruise, but also for short cruises of 5 days/4 nights from Sunday to Thursday or for 4 days/3 nights from Thursday to Sunday. Important: On Thursday the passengers remaining 8 days on board make the normal program.

ITINERARY B

The regular ITINERARY B is for 8 days/7 nights but it is possible to end on Friday for a shorter tour of 6 days/5 nights.
This cruise visits the west side of Isabella, while the ITINERARY A goes to the Islands in the central north and the south.

SPECIAL COMBINATIONS

For passengers who seek new alternatives to the traditional cruise of 8 days, we offer the opportunity of tours during 11, 12, or 15 days on board the Yacht Angelito, with the following combination possibilities and without repeating any visit points:
1.- ITINERARY A11 = 11 days/10 nights: 4 days A4 + 8 days B; starts on Thursday of ITINERARY A and ends on Sunday of ITINERARY B
2.- ITINERARY B12 = 12 days/11 nights: 8 days B + 5 days A5; with start on Sunday of ITINERARY B and end on Thursday of ITINERARY A
3.- ITINERARY A15 or B15 = 15 days/14 nights: with a combination of the ITINERARIES A+B or B+A

NOTICE: the itineraries and every single activity are strictly approved and controlled by the Galapagos National Park to maintain the balance between conservation and tourism. Of course, we agree with these regulations and respect them, so there is no possibility to make changes or offer other activities like those, that are approved, during the cruise.

ACTIVITIES DURING THE CRUISE

All the Angelito’s itineraries offer a route through the Islands that is varied and captivating. The Angelito was one of the first boats doing two weeks with the almost unknown Westside of Isabela, a real pioneer with the back then small ship and brave and adventurous tourists. This excellent route has proved itself, and it is one of the most harmonious round trips in the market. Our itineraries do not only show the maximum of facets of the Galapagos but with the shortest possible navigation distances, permitting you to have the most time on the Islands or to relax in the quietness of this paradise in the middle of the Pacific.

IMPORTANT: the itineraries and every single activity are strictly approved and controlled by the Galapagos National Park to maintain the balance between conservation and tourism. Of course, we agree with these regulations and respect them, so there is no possibility to make changes or offer other activities as those that are approved during the cruise.

Every day during our cruise offers excursions to the different visit points according to the itinerary: one in the morning and, after the lunch on board and eventually short navigation, the second at a different beautiful place in the afternoon. When programmed, the outings complete with a snorkeling activity after the hike. All these visits are always led by the Naturalist Guide of the Yacht Angelito, walking along the hiking paths, over lava fields, along beaches or in between of the bushes, and surrounded by the unique wildlife of each island.

Most of the hikes are easy, but a certain level of fitness is required. You will have enough time to observe and enjoy, to write notes, and take lots and lots (and more) of pictures.

HIKING

Almost every day there is a morning hike at a visiting point and a second one at a different visiting point in the afternoon. These are always led by the Naturalist Guide, walking along the hiking paths, over lava fields, along beaches or in between of the bushes, surrounded by the unique wildlife of each island. Most of the hikes are ease, but a certain level of condition is required, You will have time to observe, to write notes and take lots and lots (and more) of pictures.

NAVIGATION

The longer navigations are mostly in the night, but for the shorter ones after the lunch to arrive at the afternoon’s visit point, the Angelito has an ample sun and shadow deck to allow a pleasant and comfortable time. Have a look at our library with a good selection of books about flora, fauna, and history of Galapagos, enjoy the siesta time and relax, but never forget to look out to the sea, because you suddenly may spot dolphins swimming with the boat, or a sea turtle or, with a little bit more of luck, whales blowing air out.

SNORKELING

Certain visiting points also permit to get to know the Galapagos Islands’ underwater world as well. On board the Yacht Angelito, we have quality snorkeling equipment available, included in our cruise rates.
If you have never tried the snorkeling before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go! To ensure the safety, we always have a lifebuoy and a zodiac close.
No diving is included in our Itinerary.

LANDSCAPE CONTEMPLATION

Let the sound of the sea and birds wake you up, every single day surprised by the new place where the Angelito anchors: the geological conditions are totally different, so also its flora and fauna.
After dinner, go to the upper deck of the Angelito to admire the stars and maybe the moon, bright and clear in the darkness, surrounded by nothing.

SHORELINE DINGY DRIVE

Sit comfortably in our zodiac-boats to go from the yacht to the land, but also to enjoy the programmed ride to look and spot for all the animals that live or rest on the shoreline.
Ones per week, we go into a Mangrove bay: here marine turtles, rays, Galapagos sharks, and birds live in these special ecosystems. These excursions with the quiet observation are very unique and especially touching.

WHEN TO COME?

Nearly not to believe, but there is no best time to visit the Galapagos! There is always something exciting and unique to see, and that Flora and Fauna are year-round visible for the Galapagos visitors. One of the exceptions is the Waved Albatrosses on Española: if you expect to see them, you have to come between the end of April and end of December (but maybe you will miss something else…)

The Archipelago Galapagos is marked by two main seasons, so the activities of the wildlife and nature are slightly different:
